AboutDr. Kaur

Dr. Amrit Kaur is a clinical psychologist at The Winslow. She works with adults with trauma, burnout, anxiety and depression, and has a particular interest in how burnout and addictive behaviour develop together in senior professionals.

A former newspaper reporter, she completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Eastern Michigan University in 2010, and has since been in private practice in the United States and the Asia Pacific.

Her approach is mainly short-term psychodynamic psychotherapy, combined with somatic and systemic methods. She is a member of the Singapore Psychological Society.

At The Winslow, she runs groups and provides psychotherapy for clients and their families across the 16-week programme, including the family programme.

“Burnout is a signal that something has to change. Addictive behaviour is often an attempt to avoid changing it.”
