1. About This Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how The Winslow uses cookies and similar technologies on https://thewinslow.com.sg (the “website”). The website is operated by Promises Behavioural Health Centre Pte Ltd, a company registered in Singapore (“we”, “us”, “our”).
We handle personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (“PDPA”). This policy should be read together with our Personal Data Protection Policy.
We understand that simply visiting the website of an addiction treatment centre can be sensitive. We keep the technologies on this website to the minimum we need, we do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not use cookies to identify who you are.
2. What Are Cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It lets the website remember information between pages or visits, such as your cookie choices.
Websites can also use similar technologies that work in much the same way, such as browser storage (“local storage” and “session storage”) and scripts that run in your browser. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of these.
Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies). Others are set by service providers we use, such as Google (third-party cookies).
3. Cookies We Use and When We Ask for Consent
We use two categories of cookies. We do not use marketing, advertising or tracking cookies.
- Essential (always on). These are needed for the website to work and to keep it secure: remembering your cookie choices, running our enquiry forms, and protecting those forms from spam. They do not identify you and cannot be switched off in the cookie banner.
- Statistics (only with your consent). These help us understand how many people visit the website and which pages they use, so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics for this, and these cookies are only set if you allow them in the cookie banner.
The statistics we collect are aggregated. We have configured Google Analytics so that Google does not use this data for its own advertising or other products, and Google Analytics does not store full IP addresses. We do not use these statistics to identify individual visitors.
4. Cookies and Services on This Website
Essential:
- cmplz_functional, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_marketing (The Winslow): remember the cookie choices you made in the banner. Kept for 365 days.
- fluentform_step_form_hash_* (The Winslow): keeps your place in a multi-step enquiry form. Kept until the form is submitted or the browser is closed.
- wpEmojiSettingsSupports (The Winslow): checks whether your browser can display emoji. Contains no personal data and is cleared when the browser tab is closed.
- webp_lossy_supported, webp_lossless_supported (The Winslow): check which image formats your browser supports, so images load quickly. Contain no personal data.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.): checks that enquiry forms are submitted by a person rather than an automated program, using technical browser and device signals. Nothing is kept after the check.
Statistics, set only with your consent:
- _ga (Google Analytics, Google LLC): distinguishes visits so we can count visitors. Kept for 2 years.
- _ga_* (Google Analytics, Google LLC): keeps track of the current visit so pages viewed can be counted. Kept for 1 year.
Our website links to Google Maps for directions. Following that link takes you to Google’s own website, which has its own cookie and privacy policies. No map is embedded on our pages.
5. Managing and Withdrawing Your Consent
When you first visit the website, a banner asks whether you allow statistics cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the Manage consent button shown on every page of the website, or the settings below. If you withdraw consent, we stop setting statistics cookies from that point.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; your browser’s help pages explain how. If you block essential cookies, parts of the website, such as the enquiry forms, may not work.
Withdrawing consent for cookies does not affect enquiries you have already sent us. Those are handled under our Personal Data Protection Policy.
6. Overseas Transfers and Retention
Google Analytics and Cloudflare may process data on servers outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred overseas, we take steps under the PDPA to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA, including through the providers’ contractual data protection terms.
Statistics data in Google Analytics is deleted automatically after a fixed retention period. We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law.
7. Your Rights
Under the PDPA, you may:
- ask for access to personal data we hold about you, and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year;
- ask us to correct personal data about you that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent to our collection, use or disclosure of your personal data, including statistics cookies.
To make a request, please write to our Data Protection Officer using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first. We aim to respond to access and correction requests within thirty (30) calendar days, and to process a withdrawal of consent within ten (10) working days.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You may also contact the Personal Data Protection Commission.
8. Policy Updates
We may update this policy when we change the technologies on our website or when the law changes. All changes will be posted on this webpage, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated.
