Specialised care

Conditions we treat

We are primarily an addiction treatment centre, specialising in both substance and non-substance addictions. We also support individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health conditions commonly associated with addiction, including eating disorders, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and interpersonal and relational challenges.

Programme Suitability

Why do our programmesstart at 16 weeks?

Research consistently shows that treatment outcomes improve when the total duration of structured care exceeds 90 days. Shorter residential programmes, particularly 28-day models with limited follow-up, rarely allow sufficient time for lasting change.

At The Winslow, treatment is designed as a 16-week continuum: a residential phase followed by structured intensive outpatient support. This extended approach allows recovery practices to be applied in real-world settings while maintaining clinical support and relapse-prevention work during the high-risk period following discharge.

Neurocognitive Rehabilitation

Addiction affects brain systems responsible for attention, impulse control, emotional regulation, and decision-making. Neurocognitive rehabilitation at The Winslow is designed to strengthen and support executive functions required for sustained recovery.

Our programme integrates neurorestorative interventions alongside psychotherapy, including EEG-guided neurofeedback, Attention Training Technique (ATT), cognitive remediation, and mindfulness-oriented recovery enhancement.

The goal is simple - to support long-term behavioural change by strengthening attentional and impulse control, and self-regulation.

Mind-body experiential approach

Alongside clinical care, our mind-body approach helps clients attune to their bodies and develop practices to release tension, manage discomfort, and build resilience. These experiential modules give clients the opportunity to actively practise skills that support early recovery.

Our Facilities

Daily mindfulness-based training is embedded within the programme, cultivating awareness, focused attention, acceptance, and self-compassion.

Practices include meditation, mindful movement, and exercises to observe thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations.

Our therapist-led group sessions promote self-awareness, attunement, and emotional regulation through a variety of mind-body practices, including yoga, meditation, sound therapy, and guided relaxation techniques.

A wide range of experiential group practices is integrated into the programme, including deep relaxation, breathing exercises, and progressive muscle relaxation, all designed to support recovery and wellbeing.

Dedicated wellness facilities — including sauna, cold plunge, and magnesium-infused hot baths — support recovery and stress regulation.

Sleep-support tools such as weighted blankets, white noise machines, ear plugs, eye masks, essential oils, and simulated sunrise lamps help restore healthy rhythms.

All clients participate in structured group exercise sessions with a personal trainer as part of the core programme. Workshops on sleep, hydration, and nutrition, alongside a balanced meal plan, reinforce whole-person recovery.

Experiential sessions such as psychodrama and kintsugi workshops encourage emotional awareness and healthy self-expression. Phone-free zones throughout the centre promote presence, connection, and focus.

Dedicated family programme

Recovery is rarely an individual journey. At The Winslow, we place families at the centre of the process, rebuilding trust, communication, and connection in supportive relationships. Family members are involved through guided group work, education, one-to-one support, and regular progress updates.

Our experienced team understands both Asian and Western family dynamics, including the sensitivities that may arise within high-profile or high-discretion families. Care is delivered with respect for privacy, hierarchy, and cultural nuance.

We offer confidential guidance for families considering residential treatment, including how to raise the subject of treatment with care and sensitivity.

Programme Information

When you contact The Winslow, we begin by understanding the needs of you and your client. This may involve a general discussion about treatment options or a more detailed assessment of substance use or behavioural patterns, mental and physical health, past treatment experiences, and current goals.

Using this information, we determine whether residential treatment at The Winslow is the most appropriate option, or whether an alternative level of care, such as outpatient support, may be more suitable. Our priority is always to recommend the level of care that provides the safest and most effective path to recovery.

We work with each client to understand their personal situation and explore whether a balance can be found between structured contact with work or personal responsibilities and having the time needed to fully engage in treatment. These arrangements are considered individually and discussed openly during assessment and treatment planning.

We understand that stepping away from daily responsibilities can be challenging. At the same time, effective treatment requires meaningful engagement and presence.

Recovery is not a linear process, and it is normal for needs to change over time. At The Winslow, your treatment plan is reviewed regularly and adjusted as needed.

If additional support is required — whether medical, psychiatric, or therapeutic — it can be incorporated into your care plan. Our multidisciplinary team works closely to ensure that care remains responsive, flexible, and aligned with your goals throughout your stay.

Our aim is to support you in developing the awareness, skills, and resources needed for healing and sustainable change. Each treatment plan is tailored to the individual, but common areas of focus include understanding the factors and patterns underlying addictive behaviours; developing strategies to manage strong emotions, urges, or cravings; strengthening relationships with important people in your life; and connecting with supportive communities to sustain recovery.

Clients also work on optimising healthy lifestyle practices such as sleep, nutrition, and exercise, exploring hobbies and interests that provide structure and connection, establishing daily routines to support awareness and planning, and taking practical steps to reduce exposure to high-risk situations. Progress across these areas is monitored throughout treatment using a range of clinical and therapeutic measures.

Some private insurance policies may offer partial coverage for treatment at The Winslow. Supporting documentation for insurance claims is available on request. Please contact your insurance provider directly for more information.

Our approach adheres to strict standards of medical confidentiality, informed by decades of experience within Singapore’s regulatory environment. We recognise that some individuals require additional layers of privacy due to personal, professional, or public considerations.

Our operations from end-to-end are designed to protect personal information and ensure that treatment takes place in a safe, trustworthy setting. For example, clients may use pseudonyms throughout the programme and all treatment information is stored securely and accessed only by clinicians directly involved in care.

Any specific privacy requirements can be discussed during the admissions process to ensure that The Winslow can accommodate your needs.

The Winslow offers a Ministry of Health–licensed, evidence-based 16-week programme delivered within a premium, purpose-built environment. The centre is led by a highly experienced senior team, including Singapore’s former National Chief of Addiction Medicine and an Oxford-trained Clinical Director.

Our thoughtfully paced programme takes a training-focused approach, building the core resources required for sustained recovery and targeting the neurological circuitry underlying addiction. Family involvement is central, with weekly therapist-led family groups, dedicated 1:1 support, and structured participation throughout treatment.

Private accommodation with balconies overlooking nature, functional fitness and wellness spaces, and 24-hour security create a discreet, restorative setting designed to support long-term recovery.
