Why choose The Winslow?

Together, they oversee a multidisciplinary team focused on helping you make meaningful, lasting change.

The Winslow Method
- Our approach to treatment
Three core pillars guide our treatment approach, each tailored to what matters most to you.

- A 16-week programme
Meaningful change takes time, and our programme is designed with this in mind. You’ll begin with a minimum of 4 weeks in residence at The Winslow, followed by a 12‑week outpatient phase that includes individual counselling and therapeutic group support.
This phased approach allows for continued support as you integrate new insights and practices into daily life.
- Support for family and friends
We understand that addiction affects those closest to you, and that these relationships play a vital role in long-term recovery.
With your consent, we involve loved ones at a pace that feels right, offering them support, building understanding, and helping to rebuild trust and communication where needed.
- A customised care plan
You bring a unique mix of experiences, strengths, and challenges, and this needs to be reflected in your care plan. You'll begin with a comprehensive assessment and planning phase, followed by regular reviews and ongoing monitoring to ensure your care continues to align with your goals and needs.
Your personalised plan will focus on the areas most relevant to your recovery. This may include physical health, emotional wellbeing, relationships, mental clarity, spirituality, and the roles and responsibilities that give your life meaning.
- Integrated mind-body support
In addition to addressing the causes and consequences of addiction, our care also supports whole-person wellbeing. Each week, you’ll take part in movement and mind-body sessions such as personal training, mindfulness, breathwork, and meditation.
We also conduct a full microbiome assessment and provide tailored gut-health treatment to support healing from within.
- Brain training to improve attention, regulation and impulse control
Addiction can compromise the parts of the brain responsible for impulse control and decision-making – especially under stress. Our neuro-restorative approach uses innovative tools such as EEG neurofeedback, cognitive remediation, and attention training to strengthen these functions. Improving attention, emotional regulation, and impulse control can make a crucial difference in navigating the challenges of early recovery.
